Mr. Skidmore received his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of New Jersey. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he holds a Master of Social Work degree from the School of Social Policy and Practice. Mr. Skidmore has over 20 years experience in working with the pharmaceutical industry in managing clinical trials. His focus and experience are in Phase I – IV clinical trials, as well as operations, financial management and quality assurance.
Mr. Skidmore brings a wealth of experience to Southeastern Research Group having served most recently as Research Administrator with the largest health care system in the country treating more than one million patients a year and conducting over 450 clinical trials annually. An accomplished leader, his career experience in academic and research medical centers, honed his skills in strategic planning, contracting, business development, corporate planning and marketing.
Mr. Skidmore was also the former Vice President and Executive Director of the Kapi’olani Health Research Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii where he was responsible for all biomedical research within the Kapi’olani Health Care System. He managed 55 Physician Investigators, a NIH designated Clinical Research Center and an Industry focused Clinical Trials Center program. He also served as President of the Kapi’olani Clinical Trials Center. Mr. Skidmore was the executive responsible for Health System Corporate Planning and International Development.
Prior to joining Kapi’olani Health Mr. Skidmore served for 10 years as Vice President of the Cancer Prevention Division of the world-renown Fox Chase Cancer Center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he managed an NIH grants portfolio in excess of 20 million dollars. His role encompassed strategy, operations and division finance.
